Why Use Jacaranda For Your Boat Loan?

How Does It Work?
It couldn’t be easier to apply for boat loans through Jacaranda. The entire process works in three simple steps:
- Apply Online: Our easy-to-use free online application form takes no more than a few minutes to complete. It asks for some basic information about your personal circumstances, and the loan you want. Your information is completely secure and protected by McAfee and Comodo. The only parties we will share your information with are the lenders you are applying to.
- Wait To Hear Back: We put your loan application in front of multiple lenders and try to match you with a lender who can offer you the boat financing you want. This can be as quick as 60 minutes within normal business hours. If you apply outside business hours, we will do our best to get back to you within one business day.
- It’s A Match: If we find you a loan to suit your requirements, we will be in touch! It will then be down to the lender to liaise with you directly to discuss further, draw up a contract and arrange repayments etc. You are under no obligation to accept any loan you’re offered. If you’re not happy with the contract proposed, then simply say ‘no thanks!’. We’ll do our best to find you an alternative lender.
You should always read through the full contract of your loan before signing anything. If you have any questions or concerns, your lender should be happy to answer them. Never sign anything you’re not comfortable with or don’t understand.

How Much Can I Borrow?
We recognise that boat financing (just like boats), comes in all different shapes and sizes. Some people need just a few thousand dollars for used boat loans, whereas new boats cost substantially more.
We work with lenders who offer large and small loans from $300 to $10,000 with repayment terms from 12 to 24 months.
How Does Repayment Work?
When you apply for your loan, you can opt for what repayment terms you would like. The minimum repayment term is 12 months. The maximum repayment term will depend on how much you borrow. If you borrow anything from $300 to $2,000 your maximum repayment term will be 12 months. If you borrow more than $2,000 your minimum repayment term will be 13 months and maximum 24 months.
Your repayment arrangement will vary from lender to lender, but it will generally be set up as a direct debit directly to the lender on a weekly or monthly basis.
If for any reason your circumstances change, and you don’t think you’ll be able to keep up with the repayments, you should contact your lender immediately. Given some prior notice, the lender may be able to adapt your repayment plan so that you don’t default on your loan.
How Much Will My Loan Cost Me?
The overall cost of your loan will depend on how much you’ve borrowed, your repayment term length, and your personal circumstances. Interest rates will vary from lender to lender. You can expect to pay interest rates of between 1.5% and 20%.
Our loan calculator can be a helpful indicator of roughly how much your loan will cost.
The calculation below is an example of how much a loan might cost:
Loan amount: $2,500 repaid over 13 months
Weekly payment: $75.05
Total interest: $1,702.80
Total repayable: $4,202.80
Monthly interest rate: 9% AIR: 108%
*This is a repayment estimate only. Your lender will determine the exact fees, terms and loan amounts available for you, which may alter your repayments. Annualised Interest Rates (AIR) could be as high as 620.5% depending on your personal situation.
